Sofi Baby alternatives: Pixy and other free trackers

Sofi Baby’s site says every feature is free, with no paid tier: sleep predictions, caregiver sync, offline logging, WHO growth charts, an Apple Watch app and data export, in seven languages. Pixy is free too for one parent, with sleep prediction from your child’s own wake windows, and adds what Sofi’s site does not mention: logging by typing it the way you would say it, daily routines with reminders, AI tools, fifteen languages and an age range to twelve. Sofi is ahead on caregiver sync, which is free there and a subscription on Pixy.

Which one, and for whom

  • Pixy, if you want one app from the newborn weeks to school age, logging in plain words, and routines that remind you. It is free for one parent and one child, with no trial; the subscription adds the whole history, the rest of the household, more AI and the PDF health file.
  • Sofi, if two of you will log from day one and neither wants to pay, or if an Apple Watch app matters to you.

If you are still choosing between free trackers generally, the trackers without a subscription page sorts free apps from free trials.

Questions parents ask

Is Sofi Baby really free?

Its own site says so: every feature free, with no paid tiers, no ads and no expiring trial. We have not audited it; that is the publisher’s statement, read on 6 October 2026.

What does Pixy have that Sofi does not?

On the evidence of Sofi’s own site: plain-language logging (type “fed 120ml, back down at 3:40” and it lands in the right place), daily routines with reminders, AI tools for parenting questions, recipes and bedtime stories, an age range to twelve with the interface changing by stage, and fifteen languages including Turkish and Arabic. Sofi’s site lists seven languages and does not state an age range.

What does Sofi have that Pixy does not?

Free caregiver sync: on Sofi two parents can log for free, while on Pixy a shared child profile is in the family tiers. Sofi also lists an Apple Watch app.

General information, not medical advice. Every child develops on their own timeline and the ranges here are typical, not targets. Pixy is a tracking tool, not a medical device. For anything about your child’s health, ask your paediatrician or health visitor.

Track it instead of remembering it

Pixy logs sleep, feeds and routines from newborn to age 12, and predicts the next nap from your child’s own wake windows. That part is free.
